Christmas Is Coming
This is a conversation that happened in my house yesterday:
Daughter: What’s your favorite thing about Christmas?
Me: Spending time with you guys of course!
Daughter: You always say that! What else?
Me: Putting up the decorations!
Daughter: You always say that! What else?
Me: All the yummy food we get to eat!
Daughter: *groans* and hangs her head….
This year over the Holidays we are going to read “The Hobbit” together. My youngest son really wants to make a ‘Happy Birthday Baby Jesus’ cake. We are going to make and eat a lot of yummy food! Listen to our favorite Christmas albums and just be and love one another. My favorite way to spend the Holidays!
I don’t have a lot of understanding about people who stress themselves out or go completely overboard this time of year. If this time of year is not a reminder of love, then what is?
